The Missouri Highway Patrol, Dexter Police Department and Federal Railroad Administration participated in the joint program Operation Lifesaver/UP CARES (Union Pacific Crossing Accident Reduction Education Safety) Sept. 11-12 to make motorists and the public more aware of safety precautions at railroad crossings.
