In the wake of the tragedy at Newtown, Conn., schools across the country are looking at measures to increase the safety of their students, and Dexter is no exception. Charles Ray Pippins, son of the late Rube and Ruby Glass Pippins, was born on March 21, 1932, in Bernie, Mo. and passed into heaven on Dec. 20, 2012, at the age of 80. Charlie was a devoted member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Dexter. ...
