The Puxico R-VIII School District is celebrating a significant achievement as Mandy McMillan has been named the V.F.W. District 15 Teacher of the Year.
Since joining the Puxico family in Sept. 2005, McMillan has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to education, profoundly impacting the lives of her students and the broader community, according to the district.
Superintendent Cindy Crabb expressed her admiration for McMillan, stating, "Mrs. McMillan's roots in education run deep, coming from a family of educators. She is not only an exemplary teacher, but also a loving wife to Brandon McMillan and a dedicated mother to her two wonderful sons, Grant and Luke."
McMillan's recognition is a testament to her dedication and passion for teaching, according to Crabb, who announced the award Sunday. Her influence extends beyond the classroom, as she embodies the values and commitment that the Puxico School District holds dear. Her ability to inspire and nurture young minds has left an indelible mark on the community, according to the district.
The Puxico School District is proud to honor McMillan's achievements and contributions, Crabb said.
