Dexter police investigate string of vehicle tampering and thefts
Officers from the Dexter Police Department responded Sunday to a series of vehicle tampering reports beginning at 5:05 a.m. The incidents were reported across several locations, including the 700 block of Saddle Spur Road, the 500 and 600 blocks of Boucher Street, the 900 block of Cottonwood Lane, the 1000 block of North Woodlawn Drive, and the 900 block of West Grant.
Among these, a passenger car stolen from the 900 block of Cottonwood Lane was later recovered on the 600 block of Moore Street. However, a black 2016 Cadillac ATS was stolen from the 500 block of Moore Street and remains missing.
The investigation continued Monday when officers received another report of vehicle tampering at 8:21 a.m., during which a firearm was stolen.
The Dexter Police Department is actively investigating these incidents and has yet to release further details. Residents are urged to r report any suspicious activity to the police.
