Advance schools to hold mock active shooter training

Wednesday, August 14, 2024

Advance School District will hold a mock active shooter training Friday.

The training is conducted by the Stoddard County Sheriff’s Department, according to Sheriff Carl Hefner.

It will be conducted in the morning. The sheriff’s office, Advance Police Department, Advance Fire Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Dexter Police Department and Stoddard County EMS will be involved.

“The sheriff’s office would like to advise the public that this is only a training and not an actual incident at Advance schools,” Hefner said in a press release.
