Summer reading
Keller Public Library will host its summer reading program from 11 a.m.-noon. Participants will make a variety of crafts that can be taken home.
Thursday, July 4
Patriotic parade
Dexter’s annual patriotic parade will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 4, at the corner of Vine and Elm streets. It will end at the post office on Stoddard Street.
Fireworks
Dexter’s city fireworks will start at dusk Thursday, July 4, at East Park.
Saturday, July 6
Lighthouse Church fireworks
Lighthouse Church will host a Light the Night event starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 6. It will include live music, food trucks and a fireworks display that starts at dusk.
Tuesday, July 9
Groundbreaking
The Stars and Stripes National Museum and Library will host a groundbreaking at noon Tuesday, July 9, for the 3,300-square-foot addition to their location.
Wednesday, July 10
Summer reading
Keller Public Library will host its summer reading program from 11 a.m.-noon. The Missouri Department of Conservation will help youth learn about the animals and habitats in their own backyards.

Popsicles in the Park
The Dexter Classical Conservations group will host Popsicles in Park at 10 a.m. July 11, at Boon Park.
Friday, July 12
Grille It Up
Grille It Up will be held July 12-13 at East Park. Events Friday will be from 5-9 p.m., with a mud volleyball match, cornhole tournament and bed races.
Saturday, July 13
Grillie It Up
Grille It Up will be held July 12-13 at East Park. Events Saturday will be from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. with a car show, cook-off and mud volleyball.
Monday, July 15
Senior Dance
American Legion will be hosting a senior dance at 620 Oak St., Dexter, MO across from West Park. Dance will begin at 7:00 P.M. Admission is $5.00, band will be Midnight Express and everyone is welcome.
Wednesday, July 17
Summer reading
Keller Public Library will host its summer reading program from 11 a.m.-noon. The Dexter Parks and Recreation Department will talk about the local parks program.
