Dear Editor,

I’d like to express my gratitude to the residents and business owners in Dexter for their patience as we worked to restore their service following multiple rounds of severe weather over Memorial Day weekend. I’m incredibly appreciative of the community’s understanding and support while Ameren Missouri crews replaced broken poles and safely performed critical restoration work in the area.

Many of our crew members call this area home, so we have been working to get the lights back on not only for our customers but our own families as well. I’d also like to express my appreciation for their dedication and commitment to ensuring the delivery of safe and reliable energy to our great region.

Finally, I’d like to thank Dexter High School. They graciously allowed Ameren Missouri to utilize their parking lot for material staging and the Bearcat Event Center as a safe place for our crews to eat dinner.

Sincerely,

Russ Burger, director, SEMO Division

Ameren Missouri, Cape Girardeau, MO
