Friday, April 19
Ribbon cutting
A ribbon cutting will be held at noon Friday, April 19, for Cricket Wireless, 1615 W. Business 60.
Saturday, April 20
Grand opening
Lowery Acres will host a grand opening from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at 20375 County Road 283. Nick Waggner with Wagner Farms will hand out cooked samples of his beef and Cockadoodle Moo Petting Zoo will be on location.
Autism Day of Hope
Liberty Hill Church, 12760 County Road 420, will host a breakfast and event from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20, for Autism Day of Hope. Childcare will be provided. Registration is $10. Attendees will learn practical strategies to help understand the world of autism better.
Dance
The Wappapello Civic Center located just north of the dam on Civic Center Road will be having a dance from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, April 20, featuring the Red Light Band. $7 admission, concessions available. This is a smoke- and alcohol-free facility.
Sunday, April 21
Crowning for a Cure
The Bernie Community Center will host Crowning for a Cure at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 21. This event benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Tuesday, April 23
eWaste Recycling
eWaste Recycling Day will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the Bootheel Regional Planning Commission, 105 E. N. Main St., Dexter. Acceptable items include anything that runs by a cord or battery. Residents from the six Bootheel counties, Stoddard, Scott, Pemiscot, New Madrid, Mississippi and Dunklin, can drop items off.
Items that are allowed include laptops, modems, speakers, VHS and DVR players, televisions, CD players, printers and more.
Items not allowed include: alkaline batteries, DVDs, CDs, hazardous materials, fluorescent tubes and other items.

Thursday, April 25
A spring band concert will be held at 6 p.m. at T.S. Hill Middle School.
Sunday, April 27
