Larry Joe Griffin

Larry Joe Griffin was born on January 20, 1944, in Essex, MO. He passed away on January 11, 2024, in Dexter, MO. Larry was 79 years, 11 months, and 22 days of age. He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Griffin, parents Tom and Viola Griffin, two brothers, Charles, and Donald Griffin, and one sister, Joyce Chapman. Larry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. On April 16, 1966, Larry was united in marriage to Jeanette Barnette Griffin at Temple Baptist Church in Caruthersville. He was an avid fisherman whose favorite place to be was Reelfoot Lake. Larry. also enjoyed working in and growing a large garden to share with family, friends, and neighbors. His greatest joy was his four grandsons.

He leaves the following behind to cherish his memory. 2 Sons: Ron (Lisa) Griffin of Caruthersville, MO., and Jeff (Misty) Griffin of Jackson, MO. 4 Grandchildren: Justin Brimhall of Hayti, MO., Coltin (Sidney) Griffin of Caruthersville, MO., Wyatt Griffin of Louisville, KY., and Walker Griffin of Jackson, MO. 3 Brothers: Jerry, Bobby, and Danny Griffin all of Dexter, MO. 1 sister: Cathy Graham of Kelso, MO. One Great Granddaughter: Ellison Brimhall

And a host of wonderful nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A funeral service was held in Caruthersville on January 16.
