Connie Rae Hutchcraft, daughter of the late Harold Raymond Wilkey and Irene Brown Wilkey, was born on March 9, 1934, in Bell City, Missouri, and departed this life on April 29, 2022, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 88 years...

Connie Rae Hutchcraft, daughter of the late Harold Raymond Wilkey and Irene Brown Wilkey, was born on March 9, 1934, in Bell City, Missouri, and departed this life on April 29, 2022, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 88 years.

Mrs. Hutchcraft was a former librarian for Keller Public Library in Dexter, Missouri, a former employee of Fram, and a resident of Dexter. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter, the former president of the Dexter Hospital Auxiliary, and the former president of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

On December 30, 1952, in Piggott, Arkansas, she was united in marriage to Arthur Wayne Hutchcraft. Mr. Hutchcraft preceded her in death on May 2, 2016.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Hutchcraft and wife Lynn of Kuttawa, Kentucky, Tim Hutchcraft and wife Sandy of Dexter, Missouri, and Jim Hutchcraft and wife Dena of Puxico, by two brothers, Harold Raymond Wilkey Jr. of Buffalo, Missouri and Kenneth Andrew Wilkey of Naples, Florida; by her sister, Janet Cowley of Florissant, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Brad Hutchcraft and wife Jessica of Montezuma, Iowa, Charles Settles of Paducah, Kentucky, Chris Hutchcraft and wife Stacey of Morris, Illinois, Emily Ward and husband Nicholas of Dexter, and Dakota Hutchcraft of Dexter, Missouri; and by nine great-grandchildren.

Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Mueller, and Joyce Link.

Funeral services were conducted at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday, May 2, 2022. Interment followed in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
