Max Ray Summers, son of the late JB Summers and Ora Lee Elder Summers, was born on September 24, 1938, in Blytheville, Arkansas, and departed this life on February 9, 2022, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 83 years. Max Ray Summers, son of the late JB Summers and Ora Lee Elder Summers, was born on September 24, 1938, in Blytheville, Arkansas, and departed this life on February 9, 2022, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 83 years.

Mr. Summers was a former employee of Purolator, working in quality control. He attended the Risen Church in Dexter, Missouri and was a resident of Dexter.

On March 16, 1979, in Dexter, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Sharon Phillips. Mrs. Summers survives of their home in Dexter.

In addition to his wife Sharon, he is survived by his son, Kevin Doug Summers of Dexter, Missouri; by his sister, Connie Avery of Somerset, Kentucky; and by three grandchildren, Justin Summers, Matthew Summers, and Candice Schroder.

Other than by his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Lonnie Summers, Coye Summers, Bill Summers, James Buford, and Robert Pelcher; and by his sister, Joyce Summers.

Visitation was held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 10 a.m. until noon. Funeral services were conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at noon with Rev. Travis Lambert officiating.
