A Dexter man died following a motor vehicle that occurred Wednesday night at the intersection of Arvin Road and Cooper Street.
Dexter Police Chief Hank Trout said Ryan Turner, 19 of Dexter, was driving a 2010 Ford pickup when he made a left turn from Arvin Road onto Cooper Street and struck a motorized bicycle operated by Brian C. Wicks, 38 of Dexter.
Trout said officers with the Dexter Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 9:21 p.m. and Wicks was taken by ambulance to Southeast Health in Dexter for treatment. Wicks was later transported by helicopter to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau where he would die from his injuries.
Trout said the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
