Lynn E. Lang, 80 of Dexter, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Winchester Nursing Home in Bernie, Missouri.
Lynn, daughter of Robert E. and Lorraine A. Ameling Harris, Jr., was born on Thursday, June 5, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri.
She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Southeast University and was a Kindergarten Teacher for Malden, having taught for over 25 years.
On August 14, 1965 in Ferguson, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Albert Lang. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2010.
Her survivors include one daughter, Kim Kneer of Peoria, Arizona; two sisters, Susan Cooper of Peoria, Arizona and Nancy Harris of Dexter.
Beside her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 1 p.m., at the Malden Country Club, Malden, Missouri.
Landess Funeral Home of Malden will be in charge of the arrangements.
Donations To Malden School District in Honor of Lynn Lang
In lieu of flowers, Lynn Lang’s family is asking those people wanting to honor her with a monetary donation to make their donations to Malden R-1 School District. Those funds will be placed in an account for teachers to purchase classroom supplies for their students.
Lynn taught more than 25 years in the district and spent her own money to provide her students with an enriched learning environment. Most teachers do the same thing. This account will help teachers and students.
The district has been notified of our wishes and is very excited and thankful that we are tributing Lynn in this way. We have enclosed the information the ensure that your donations are used as you would like.

You can note on the face of the check whether you want the monies to be spent at the Elementary School or the High School. Or if you have a specific teacher or grade level you would like the monies to target, enclose that information in a note along with your check.
The district will notify teachers that this fund has been established to honor Lynn and that the teachers can access the funds using the district’s designated procedures.
