FREE ACESS - Pulley updates situation in city

As of Sunday morning there have been no storm related injuries reported according to Dexter City Administrator Trevor Pulley.Pulley said numerous homes have been damaged as a result of the storm.

Pulley is asking that all residents stay away from storm damaged areas. Although 95 percent of the roads are reopened the sightseers are causing issues. Pulley said he was informed by Ameren Missouri that all power will be restored within 48 hours. He said city crews are working to remove debris. Three roads remain closed as of 10 a.am. Sunday.

The Stoddard County Ambulance District said in a social media release that it received mutual aid Saturday evening from South Scott Ambulance District, Medic One, Butler County Ambulance and New Madrid County Ambulance in the transfer of patients from SoutheastHEALTH of Stoddard County which was impacted by the storm. The Stoddard County Ambulance District extended their thanks to these agencies.

The Stoddard County Emergency Management Office said in a social media post that they along with the Dexter Fire Department are conducting damage assessments. The Red Cross will arrive around noon Sunday to help with assessments outside the city limits.

The National Weather Service will arrive Sunday to begin their determination of the nature of the storm.
