The Stoddard County Health Center has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Ben Godwin, Director of the Stoddard County Health Center, confirmed multiple cases of COVID-19 among the staff at the center.

“We have had a number of Positive Covid-19 cases develop among staff here inside the Stoddard County Public Health Center over the last few days,” said Godwin. “For precautionary reasons, we will be operating on a very limited staff, however, all Covid-19 tracing responsibilities will continue to be fulfilled.”

Godwin said the center will reschedule all services that are possible to reschedule. Godwin advised anyone in immediate need of service to call the center. It is hoped that the health center will be back to full operation at some point next week.

Godwin also confirmed 36 new cases of COVID-19 in the county along with 10 recoveries. Twenty cases were confirmed on Monday afternoon and the other 16 cases were confirmed over the weekend. The county now sits at 1,041 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 200 active, 821 recoveries and 20 deaths.
