Ben Godwin, Director of the Stoddard County Health Center, confirmed no new cases of COVID-19 and two recoveries in the county. One recovery is outside of the nursing home outbreak and one recovery is in the nursing home.

Outside of the nursing home outbreak there are 107 confirmed cases with, 16 active cases, 89 recoveries and two deaths. In the nursing home outbreak there are 42 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with five active cases with 30 recoveries and seven deaths. Four of the active cases are residents and one is a staff member. The county as a whole has 149 active cases with 21 active cases, 119 recoveries and nine deaths.

Godwin also issued a reminder to residents to remain cautious.

“We realize it's supposed to be a beautiful weekend and there will be a lot going on with friends family. We are not asking that you avoid them,” said Godwin. “But we do ask that you are mindful of your surroundings and do what you can to practice social distancing. Controlling this virus is the responsibility of all Stoddard County residents.”
