BLOOMFIELD — The Stoddard County Commission announced an amended version of the COVID-19 joint order originally issued April 1 that featured provisions to help combat the spread of the disease.
Besides the commission, the joint order was issued by Stoddard County Health Officer Dr. Bobby J. Jibbin and the Stoddard County Health Department.
The order was amended April 29 to ease restrictions, and the latest version took effect Monday and will remain effective until further notice.
The order says all previous provisions concerning businesses and individuals have been repealed but all residents should follow Phase 2 of Gov. Mike Parson’s Show Me Strong Recovery Plan that took effect June 16.
According to the order, Jibben still has the authority to issue and enforce quarantines to those who have tested positive for COVID-19 because a state of emergency remains in effect.
SB 40 board
The Stoddard County Commission appointed two new members to the Senate Bill 40 board during Monday’s meeting.
Wayne Jean, of Dexter, and Garrett Payne, of Puxico, will replace Connie Holyfield and Clay Prough on the board effective July 1.
Dale Holman, of Dexter, was reappointed to the board recently. Holman, Jean and Payne will have three-year terms.
The commissioners voted 3-0 to approve Jean and 2-1 to approve Payne. Presiding Commissioner Danny Talkington voted no on the Payne vote.
