A Dexter man was found dead Friday in his trailer on Clements Street in Dexter.
According to Detective Corey Mils with the Dexter Police Department, the body of James Freddy Moore Jr. was discovered by a maintenance worker with the trailer park.
The landlord believed Moore had moved and rented the trailer to a new tenant. Mills stated the maintenance worker forced entry into the trailer and discovered Moore. Dexter Police were called to the scene.
It was discovered that a small fire broke out in the trailer sometime in the last month and was not reported to the Dexter Police or Fire Department. Mills stated no foul play is suspected at this time and a death investigation continues.
An autopsy was performed Friday and results are pending, Mills said, including results from the toxicology report which takes about six to eight weeks.
Initially authorities were unable to locate the family of Moore, prompting Stoddard County Coroner Kenny Pope to ask for the public's help. Moore's family has since been located.
