Lewdawn “Buddy” Bond, 81, of Advance, passed away February 26, 2019 at Advance Nursing Center in Advance, MO. He was born January 15, 1938 at Bollinger County, MO, the son of Harvey Bond and Beulah Tolbert.
Buddy had worked for the Local 798 on the pipeline. He had worked for Nestle Purina near Bloomfield, MO for 18 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and four-wheelers.
Buddy and Dorothy Owens were united in marriage on June 16, 1978 at Marble Hill, MO and she survives the home.
Survivors include: his wife, Dorothy Bond of Advance, MO; two sons, Don (Demetra) Bond of Jackson, MO; Steven (Tammy) Kennison of Advance, MO; a daughter, Tina (Bill) Hufstetler of Fort Smith, AR; nine grandchildren, Kole Bond, Nick Bixler, Dalton Bond, Hannah Kennison, Haley Kennison, Wendy Hindley, Devin Jones, Brandon Hudstetler and Grayson Hufstetler; eleven great-grandchildren Braxton, Kamden, Madilyn, Bradon, Bryce, Olivia, Riley, Ryder, Bailey, Vincent and Vienne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Thursday February 28, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held on Friday March 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ray Placher officiating. Burial will follow at Cato Cemetery in near Sturdivant.
