Glendell Wayne Woodrow, 68, of Advance, passed away January 14, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born December 26, 1950 at Centralia, IL, the son of Thomas and Melba Bradshaw Woodrow.
Glen had been the owner/operator of PGS Home Improvements for many years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was very active in military organizations such as; Task Force USA, Freedom of the Road Riders, Patriot Guard and American Legion.
Glen was also a singer/songwriter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching old western movies and traveling. He loved visiting the Smoky Mountains.
He had enormous love for his family and spending time with his grandbabies. Glen adored his wife, they shared an amazing love. He was a big man with a big heart. He would do anything to help anyone.
Glen and Pamela Koestner were united in marriage on September 11, 1999 at Troy, MO and she survives of the home.
Survivors include: his wife, Pamela Woodrow; four sons, Aaron Woodrow of Florida, Travis Woodrow of Warrington, MO, Matthew (Kathy) Thelen of St. Charles and Daniel (Jennifer) Thelen of Advance; three daughters, Stacy (James) Sparkman of North Royalton, OH, Rebecca (Bruce) Springer of Rockford, MI and Stephanie (Miguel) Echevarria of Advance; a brother, Paul Woodrow of Warrington, MO ; a sister, Jacqueline Torpea of St. Charles, MO; 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Dawndee Woodrow.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 18, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the chapel. Burial will follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
