Glenda Metcalf, daughter of the late James Silas and Allie Virginia Latham Churchill, was born in Caglesville, Ark. on March 18, 1930, and deid at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter, Mo. on Nov. 21, 2015, at the age of 85.
Mrs. Metcalf had lived in Bloomington, Calif. for many years and moved to Essex, Mo. 20 years ago. She retired from teaching after 40 years, she had taught elementary school and had been a Sunday School teacher for 30 years at the Bloomington Nazarene Church.
She was married to Howard Glenn Metcalf in Bloomington, California.
Surviving are her husband, Howard Glenn Metcalf of Bloomington, California; three sons, Randall Metcalf and Jonathan Metcalf both of Bloomington, California, James Metcalf of Essex, Missouri; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her special twin sister, Wanda Morgan of Essex, Missouri. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by nine brothers.
Friends may visit from on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri.
