Three Dexter residents sustained injuries in two separate wrecks on Monday, one in Stoddard County and the other in Butler County.

According to the Missouri State Highay Patrol, Jerry Bennett, 70, was southbound on Highway T, one-half mile north of County Road 569 at about 10:35 a.m. Monday when the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Bennett sustained serious injuries and his passenger, 70-year-old Donna J. Bennett, sustained moderate injuries in the wreck. Both were transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

At 4:45 p.m. Monday, the Patrol was summoned to Highway 25, one and one-half miles north of Dexter after a 1999 Ford Explorer ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Sandra J. Davison, 49, was the driver of the Explorer and was southbound when the accident occurred. She was transported by ambulance to SoutheastHEALTH of Dexter for treatment of moderate injuries.

All three Dexter residents who were injured in the above wrecks were equipped with their seat belts, the patrol report stated.
