Betty Anne Gilmore, daughter of the late Paul G. and Beatrice Faulkner Hester, was born in St. Louis on Sept. 16, 1937, and died at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston on Nov. 30, 2015, at the age of 78. She had lived in Bloomfield most of her life and attended the Garden Ridge General Baptist Church. She had retired after 28 years with the Mercantile Bank where she had been a vice-president...

Betty Anne Gilmore, daughter of the late Paul G. and Beatrice Faulkner Hester, was born in St. Louis on Sept. 16, 1937, and died at the Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston on Nov. 30, 2015, at the age of 78.

She had lived in Bloomfield most of her life and attended the Garden Ridge General Baptist Church. She had retired after 28 years with the Mercantile Bank where she had been a vice-president.

Surviving are one daughter and her husband, Kim and Bill Fox of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Paul Fox and Tim Fox both of Bloomfield, Curt Fox of Jackson and Brad Fox of Qulin; three great-grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Gary and Marilyn Hester of Bloomfield, and Jerry and Betty Hester of Poplar Bluff. Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Rosalie Dooley.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, after 9:30 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Fox of Bloomfield officiating. Interment will follow at the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of all arrangements.
