The Dexter Cub Scouts distributed their Scouting for Food bags last Saturday, Nov. 14. This Saturday morning, Nov. 21, beginning at 9 a.m., the Scouts will be canvassing the city of Dexter to pick up the bags, hopefully filled with non-perishable items for the Gospel Rescue Mission.

The Scouting for Food project is one of the largest food campaigns in the area that serves the Stoddard County Mission. The items are utilized in preparing holiday baskets for those in need in the county.

According to Scout leaders in the area, there was a shortage of bags this year, and so they are asking for those residents who did not find a Scouting for Food bag on their door last Saturday to kindly use any type of bag the wish and leave their items by their front door to be retrieved by area Scouts.

Scouting leaders extend their thanks to all who participate in the annual effort of feeding those in need in Stoddard County.
