Lena M. Smith, daughter of the late Charles W. Redfairn and Blanche Manning Redfairn, was born in Hazleton, Ind. on Feb. 8, 1922, and died at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Mo. on Nov. 6, 2015, at the age of 93.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and was a member of Sadler Chapel United Methodist Church.

She was united in marriage to Ernest Dwight Smith in Kennett, Mo. on June 14, 1941. Mr. Smith preceded his wife in death on Feb. 14, 2007.

Survivors include four sons, Jerry Dwight Smith and wife, Liz, of Grassy, Ronald Lee Smith and wife, Sue, of Doniphan, Larry Charles Smith and wife, Brenda, of Bloomfield and Rickie L. Smith of Batesville, Ark.; by one sister, Lettie Redfairn Blaize of Preston, Ind.; by 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James Redfairn, C.W. Redfairn and Earl Redfairn; by three sisters, Lura Reeves, Lois Sanders and Helen McGee; also by one great-grandson, Stephen Cole Smith.

Visitation will be held at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Mo. on Tuesday morning, Nov. 10, 2015, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will then be conducted at 11 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with Rev. Shannon W. Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Sadler Chapel Cemetery. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter, Mo. is in charge of all arrangements.
