Sunday wreck leaves one with injuries

Joshua D. Johnson, 21, of Dexter, sustained serious injuries in a wreck on Highway 60 Sunday. The accident occurred just before midnight when Johnson, driving northbound in the 2004 Buick Century pictured above, pulled into a westbound 2001 Dodge Ram truck driven by Amelia E. Patterson, 26, of Sikeston. Patterson was uninjured in the wreck. Johnson's injuries were deemed by the Highway Patrol to be serious, and he was taken by private conveyance to SoutheastHEALTH in Dexter for treatment. Johnson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
