Leslie Paul Lemons, Jr., son of the late Leslie Lemons and Pearl Woodruff Lemons, was born on March 27 1922, in Essex, and died on Sept. 18, 2015, in Brunswick, Ohio at the age of 93. Mr. Lemons was a United States Veteran of WWII and a resident of the Cleveland, Ohio area for the past 50+years, but always loved coming back to Stoddard County to visit family and friends...

Leslie Paul Lemons, Jr., son of the late Leslie Lemons and Pearl Woodruff Lemons, was born on March 27 1922, in Essex, and died on Sept. 18, 2015, in Brunswick, Ohio at the age of 93.

Mr. Lemons was a United States Veteran of WWII and a resident of the Cleveland, Ohio area for the past 50+years, but always loved coming back to Stoddard County to visit family and friends.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Betty Houart Lemons; three sons and daughters-in-law, Leslie Paul Lemons III and Kathy; Kevin Lemons and Ruth; Kurtis Lemons and Natalie; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim Lombardi and Joseph. He was an adoring grand and great-grandfather and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was proceeded in death by two sons, Paul Stephen and James Sidney; one brother, Leonard Lemons, and one sister, Billie Harty.

Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
