Billy Dean Dozier, 80, of Doe Run, Mo., died June 15, 2015, at the Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Mo. He was born Jan. 1, 1935, in Puxico to the late Fredrick and Effie (Morgan) Dozier. Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army. After 26 years of service in the Army he retired and then worked as a civil servant for the Department of the Army. Billy Dean Dozier, 80, of Doe Run, Mo., died June 15, 2015, at the Parkland Health Center in Farmington, Mo. He was born Jan. 1, 1935, in Puxico to the late Fredrick and Effie (Morgan) Dozier.

Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army. After 26 years of service in the Army he retired and then worked as a civil servant for the Department of the Army. He enjoyed remodeling homes, gardening and fishing.

Billy is survived by his wife, Lillian (McLard) Dozier; two sons, Steven Dozier and wife Linda and Bruce Dozier and wife Sharon; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Carolyn Sneed.

Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Lewis Dozier, Cecil Dozier and John Dozier; and two sisters, Sylvia Watson and Viva Wilkenson.

Visitation was held Thursday, June 18, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the C. Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Mo. Funeral services will be Friday, June 19, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the C. Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Bonne Terre. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield.

The family requests that memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
