R. G. Langley, son of the late Randall Greenfield Langley and Sarah Jane Taylor Langley was born on Nov. 7, 1919 near Essex, Mo. and died in the SoutheastHealth Center of Cape Girardeau on Feb. 1, 2015 at the age of 95. R. G. Langley, son of the late Randall Greenfield Langley and Sarah Jane Taylor Langley was born on Nov. 7, 1919 near Essex, Mo. and died in the SoutheastHealth Center of Cape Girardeau on Feb. 1, 2015 at the age of 95.

Mr. Langley was a farmer, a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in World War 2 and a lifelong resident of Essex.

He was united in marriage to Anna Louise Williamson on Oct. 1, 1938 at Wickliffe, Ky. Mrs. Langley preceded him in death on Dec. 14, 2004.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Bob Blair of Essex; by two grandchildren, Eric (Amanda ) Blair and Tina (Chris) Porter; by four great-grandchildren, Beau Hunter Blair, Karis Briann Blair, Jackson Randall Porter and Caroline Louise Porter.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Jo Langley and Carolyn Sue Langley; by three brothers, Wilson Langley, Willie Langley and Harry Langley; by four sisters, Wilma Broxterman, Opal Langley, Susie Corlew and Hazel Hardy.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at the Essex Cemetery with Rev. Roy Sherfield officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Essex First United Methodist Church.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
