Genevieve Arnold, daughter of the late Love Henderson and Carrie Batchelor Henderson was born on March 31, 1931, in Lincoln, Neb., and died on Jan. 10, 2015, at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter at the age of 83.
Mrs. Arnold was a member of the Trinity United Methodist church in Bloomfield. She was a fixture in the Dexter healthcare field working for Dr. Poe, Dr. Jibben and Dr. Kandalaft as their nurse. She was a resident of Dexter.
On Nov. 26, 1948, she was united in marriage to J.C. Arnold in Piggott, Ark. Mr. Arnold survives of their home in Dexter.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son and daughter in law, Jim and JoAnna Arnold of Dexter; one daughter and son in law, Cathy and William Chasteen of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Travis Wayne Qualls, James Paul Arnold, Michael Chasteen and Heather White; and ten great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jamie Arnold; one brother, John Henderson and two sisters, Von Emma Clampitt and Lucille Davis.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at 10 a.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Alice Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in the Missouri Sate Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
