The final families have been adopted in the Daily Statesman's Operation Santa program. Several new families were added this week, but were adopted on Tuesday.

The Statesman extends a sincere thanks to all who came forward to make Christmas a lot brighter for a total of 45 local families.

All four of the following families were adopted on Tuesday by members of St. Joe General Baptist Church in Idalia.

Family 42 ADOPTED

Single mom has three boys, ages 12, 13, and 15. All need clothing. Sizes are listed on application.

Family 43 ADOPTED

Another single mom is employed at a local nursing care facility and has two children 10 and 12. She could use some help with clothes and toys this holiday season. Mother also expresses needs, including hygiene items and cleaning supplies.

Happy Snaps Photography in Bloomfield has donated a basket of cleaning supplies to this family. They remain on the list with needs for the two children.

Family 44 ADOPTED

A single male parent living in Dexter has an eight-year-old boy in need of clothing, shoes, and a desk and chair (used is fine). Cleaning supplies are also needed, and warm comforters are requested.

Happy Snaps Photography of Bloomfield has contributed a basket of cleaning supplies to this family, as well as Family 43. Clayton Shell of Dexter has donated a desk and chair. Other needs remain.

Family 45 ADOPTED

A couple residing in Essex with three teenagers is asking for help this Christmas. Father is currently in training for a new job, but is not receiving pay during the training period. They could use clothing, including cowgirl boots for one of the girls.
