Jason Brett Vaughn of Rolla, Mo., was born in Poplar Bluff, Mo., on Nov. 30, 1973, and died Dec. 11, 2014, after a courageous battle with A.L.S. (Lou Gehrig Disease).

Jason graduated from Rolla High School in 1992. Prior to his illness, Jason was the owner/operator of the TLC Landscaping Company of Rolla. Some of his many interests included being an avid outdoors-man who loved hunting and fishing, building and driving race cars, looking for arrowheads and four-wheeling. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes his mother, Janet Hall Vaughn and Bruce Gilder of Rolla; one brother, David Vaughn and wife Susan, of Rolla; two nieces, Jana Vaughn and Rebecca Henson and husband Nate; one nephew, Jarel Vaughn and wife Heather all of Rolla; three great-nieces and two great-nephews; his aunt, Kay Cain of Sikeston; his uncle, Jim Hall and wife Linda, of Bloomfield; seven cousins, Karen Martin of Sikeston, Jennifer Goette of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Jeff Hall of Kansas City, Mo., Gary Hall of Dexter, Annette Wade of Beaumont, Texas, Joe Hall of Houston, Texas and Paula White of Dexter. Jason also leaves behind his RHS classmates and many dear friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry and Frances Hall and E.R. and Pauline Vaughn all of Dexter; one uncle, Charles Hall and two cousins, Steve Cain and Tracey Hall Rochester.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at Null and Son Funeral Home. Interment will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at the Dexter City Cemetery in Dexter.

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the A.L.S. Foundation.
