Wednesday was the final day for families to apply for help through the Daily Statesman's Operation Santa program, and six new families have asked for help. One of those has already been adopted, but five remain. A total of 43 families have made up the list this year, almost all of which have been adopted through the generosity of individuals, clubs, church groups, civic groups and businesses throughout the community...

Wednesday was the final day for families to apply for help through the Daily Statesman's Operation Santa program, and six new families have asked for help. One of those has already been adopted, but five remain. A total of 43 families have made up the list this year, almost all of which have been adopted through the generosity of individuals, clubs, church groups, civic groups and businesses throughout the community.

The staff of Daily Statesman extend their thanks for the overwhelming response to this year's SOS program. These families will continue to appear until they have received some help. The application process has ended.

Family 38 - ADOPTED

This is a large family from Essex with five children ranging in age from almost one year to 12 years old. They are in need of toys, clothing, baby dolls, bedding, and household supplied in this two-parent home. Any help is appreciated.

This family has been adopted by Americare Systems, Inc.

Family 39

This single mother from Bloomfield has three girls, ages two, three and four. They can use clothing and toys. The family could also use laundry detergent, which is requested to be the brand All Free.

Family 40

This Essex couple has two six-year-old girls and a nine-year-old boy. They request "Frozen" Disney items and other items. One parent works full time, and one is a full time college student.

Family 41

This single mom from Dexter has one four-ear-old boy who is in need of clothes and toys. He favors Spiderman and Paw Patrol themes. Mom is employed part-time in the healthcare industry.

Family 42

Single mom has three children, ages 12, 13, and 15. All need clothing. Sizes are listed on application.

Family 43

Another single mom is employed at a local nursing care facility and has two children 10 and 12. She could use some help with clothes and toys this holiday season. Mother also expresses needs, including hygiene items and cleaning supplies.
