Garry K. (Kenny) Anderson, age 73, died Nov. 21, 2014 at his home in Sikeston, Mo.
He was born March 7, 1941 in Bloomfield, Mo., son of Edna (Wolpers) Anderson of Dexter and the late Emil "Cotton" Anderson. He was a member of the Missouri National Guard at Dexter, Mo. and had worked as a lineman for 40 years before retiring from SEMO Electric.
On Jan. 29, 1977, in Fresno, Calif., he married Margaret (Waschke) Anderson. She survives of the home in Sikeston.
He was previously married to Gail Garey who survives of Paso Robles, Calif.
Other survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Garry and Amber Anderson II of Dexter, Mo., Jeremy Carle of St. Peters, Mo. and Judson and Jessica Carle of Ammon, Idaho; two daughters and one son-in-law, Signe Gail (Anderson) Whitney of Oliver Springs, Tenn. and Katrina Marie (Anderson) and Cary Sanders of Sikeston; two brothers, Roger Anderson of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Darrell Anderson of Bloomfield, Mo.; one sister, Cindy Gates of Dexter; and 19 grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip Anderson and Larry Anderson; and one grandson, Judson Thomas Carle II.
Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery, Duncan Section at Dexter, Mo.
