Gale Miller, son of the late Otis Miller and Muriel Ward Miller, was born Oct. 24, 1950, in Dexter and died on Nov. 16, 2014, at SoutheastHEALTH in Cape Girardeau at the age of 64.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter. He was co-owner of Gisi Oil and had worked as a sales representative for Dexter Ready Mix.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a resident of Bloomfield. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports. He also loved his dogs and enjoyed fishing.
On July 26, 1969, he was united in marriage to Susan Jean Gisi in Dexter. She preceded him in death on May 10, 1998. He was then united in marriage to Nancy Lemke Saladine on May 29, 1999, in Dexter. Mrs. Miller survives of the home.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Travis Miller (Laura) of Dexter; one daughter, Amy Simmons (Westley) of Dexter; one step-son, Christopher Saladine (Tina) of Midland, Mich.; one step-daughter, Rebecca Saladine of Sanford, Mich.; one brother, Jim Miller of Dexter; and ten grandchildren, Tyler and Reagan Miller, Bryce and Brock Simmons, J. T. Putnam, Isaiah Saladine, Emily Saladine, Christina Saladine, Tyler Krotzer and Kayla Krotzer.
In addition to his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Miller and by one sister, Brenda Pardon.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Greg Stevens officiating.
Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with full military honors.
