C. H. "Trey" Parsons, III, the older son of C. H. Parsons, Jr., and Betty Sue Parsons was born at Cape Girardeau, Mo., on May 3, 1967, and died on Nov. 2, 2014, at the age of 47. Trey graduated from Dexter High School with the Class of 1985. He received a football scholarship from the University of Missouri where he attended until he sustained a career ending injury. C. H. "Trey" Parsons, III, the older son of C. H. Parsons, Jr., and Betty Sue Parsons was born at Cape Girardeau, Mo., on May 3, 1967, and died on Nov. 2, 2014, at the age of 47.

Trey graduated from Dexter High School with the Class of 1985. He received a football scholarship from the University of Missouri where he attended until he sustained a career ending injury. He graduated from Arkansas State University in 1994 with a B.S. Degree.

Trey was united in marriage to Kathryn Elizabeth Matthes on Dec. 29, 1994. Kate survives in Dexter, along with their son, John Rhys Parsons.

In addition to his wife and son, Trey is survived by his parents of Dexter; one brother, Rafe B. Parsons and his wife, Colleen, and Grace Parsons, a niece, of Columbia, Mo. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, Nov. 8th, at 11 a.m. at the Dexter Cemetery with Dr. Barry Winders officiating.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
