Darrel Wayne Carson, son of Eula Mae Hatchel Carson and the late Layton Vaughn Carson, was born in Dexter, on June 5, 1955, and died at his residence in Malden on Nov. 4, 2014, at the age of 59.
Mr. Carson had worked for over 25 years at Federal Mogul Corporation and recently employed by Nestle Purina Company of Bloomfield. He was a member of Corner Gospel Fellowship of Bernie.
He was united in marriage to Sheila June Mitchell in Parma on June 26, 1976. Mrs. Carson survives of the home in Malden.
Other survivors include, one son, Eric Carson and wife Rachael, of Poplar Bluff; one granddaughter, Olivia Carson; his mother, Eula Mae Carson of Bernie; three brothers, Doyle Richard of Bernie, Robert Carson of Malden and Ronald Carson of Bernie; five sisters, Shirley Alvis of Bernie, Jeanett Schmeig of Granite City, Mo., Nora Fuemmeler of Rushville, Mo., Brenda Owens of Marshall, Mo., and Pam Stitz of Advance.
He was preceded in death by his father, Layton Carson; three brothers, Chester Richard, Glendale Richard and Roger Carson.
Visitation will be held at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, from 12 p.m. until 1p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Chalk Bluff Cemetery, in rural Dexter.
