Officials from Lansing Trade Group hosted an Open House at their new facility east of Grayridge at noon Wednesday. The new facility will accept corn, soybeans and wheat. The grain will be transported by a high-speed train dedicated solely to hauling Lansing grain. Lansing Trade Group is headquartered in Overland Park, Kan. Construction on the new facility began in the spring, and it has been completed in time for the fall harvest. Work is still underway by the Missouri Department of Transportation to install turn lanes on U.S. Highway 60 and to widen Highway 114 at the entrance to the facility.
