Luther H. Cagle of Malden, Mo., was born Jan. 6, 1933, in Lilbourn, Mo., to the late Luther Thomas (Tom) and Vera Moore Cagle and died at his residence on July 10, 2014, at the age of 81.
On June 7, 1952, he married Joyce Manning in Piggott, Ark. She preceded him in death on July 30, 2007.
On Sept. 28, 2008, he married Kay Cain Cagle in Malden. She survives of the home in Malden.
Mr. Cagle was the former owner of H & R Block in Malden, Poplar Bluff, Doniphan, Dexter and Kennett. He was a member of the 1952 graduating class of Gideon High School where he was a state medalist on the track and field team. He attended the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden.
Survivors include, his wife, Kay; one daughter, Kim (Rick) Allen of Malden; one son, Rodney (Kathy) of Powe; four grandchildren, Micah (Dr. Daniel) Taylor of Oakland, Tenn., Tyson Allen of Malden, Rayne (Michelle) Cagle of Bernie and Grant Cagle of Little Rock, Ark.; one great-granddaughter, Jayci Cagle of Bernie; one stepdaughter, Karen Martin of Sikeston; two brothers-in-law, Larry Manning of Miles City, Mont., and Jim Hall of Bloomfield; one sister-in-law, Janet Vaughn of Rolla, Mo.
Visitation and funeral were held Sunday, July 13, 2014, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden with Rev. Aulden LeBlanc and Rev. Rick White officiating. Interment followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
Landess Funeral Home of Malden was in charge of all arrangements.
