Dr. Kyle Ouzts, owner of Stoddard Animal Clinic in Dexter, recently attended a symposium in Cape Girardeau, Mo. sponsored by Zoetis that addressed products to relieve itch and inflammation associated with allergic and atopic dermatis in animals.

The program, entitled Apoquel, featured Dr. Joe Holzhauer in a roundtable presentation for attendees.

Ouzts also recently announced the acquisition of a blood chemistry analyzer at his Dexter clinic.

"We are excited about this technology," Ouzts said of the analyzer, "because it gives very precise measures of blood tests for liver, kidneys, and many other realms of animal diagnostics, and does so as quickly as a 15-minute turnaround."

Ouzts said the new analyzer would provide better healthcare to animals and will provide better service to clients with greater capabilities for animal treatment.

"The service can still be offered to clients at a price well below the national average," Ouzts added.
