Fruitland- Fruitland Livestock Auction: Monthly Sheep and Goat Report for 4/19/2014

   Compared to last month, feeder lambs sold 30.00 lower; slaughter lambs 
sold 42.00 lower; slaughter ewes traded 3.00 lower; slaughter rams not well 
tested.  Slaughter billies sold 10.00 lower, nannies sold 8.00 lower, 
slaughter kids sold 28.00 lower, feeder kids sold 300 lower and yearlings 
in light supply; Demand light and supply moderate.  Sheep made up 
approximately 48 percent of the offering, 52 percent goats. Sheep and goat 
sale is on the third Friday of the month at 10:00 am. Prices quoted are per 
cwt unless otherwise noted.

   Slaughter lambs:  Choice 1  45-68 lbs 197.50-219.00; 75-90 lbs 180.00-
198.00.   Choice 2  48-68 lbs 178.50-187.50; few 85-95 lbs 165.00-172.50.    

   Yearling:  Medium and Large 1-2 few 110-151 lbs 138.00-147.50.
	
   Feeder Lambs:  Medium and Large 1-2  25-38 lbs, 167.50-190.00.

   Slaughter Ewes:  Utility and Good 2-3  78-190 lbs, 62.50-78.00.  
Culls 1-3 89-130 lbs, 40.00-55.00.  

   Slaughter Rams:  Utility and Good 2-3  200-215 lbs, 42.50-45.00. 

   Replacement ewes:  Utility and good 1-2   few 82-112 lbs 82.50-92.50; 
few pairs at 130.00-180.00 per pair.  

   Goats: 

   Kid:  Selection 1  48-72 lbs 225.50-242.50; 80-85 lbs 160.00-190.00.  
Selection 1-2  50-72 lbs, 180.00-212.50.  

   Does/Nannies:  Selection 1-2 90-113 lbs, 90.00-110.00; Selection 2  70-
90 lbs, 75.00-85.00.  

   Billies:  Bulk medium flesh few 100-187 lbs, 92.00-112.50.
