Virginia L. "Jenny" McClain, daughter of the late Frelan D. and Nellie Rush Witaker, was born in Bollinger County, Mo. on Dec. 25, 1924, and died at her home in Lake St. Louis, Mo. on April 1, 2014, at the age of 89. She had lived in St. Charles and Bloomfield, Mo. before moving to Lake St. Louis two months ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church...

Virginia L. "Jenny" McClain, daughter of the late Frelan D. and Nellie Rush Witaker, was born in Bollinger County, Mo. on Dec. 25, 1924, and died at her home in Lake St. Louis, Mo. on April 1, 2014, at the age of 89.

She had lived in St. Charles and Bloomfield, Mo. before moving to Lake St. Louis two months ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

On April 3, 1943, she married Robert O. "Jigs" McClain, Sr. in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 2002.

Surviving are two sons, Robert O. McClain, Jr. of Wentzville, Mo. and Allen McClain of Cabool, Mo.; one daughter, Pamela Pierce of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and one sister, Nadine Rose of Florida. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, from 5 - 8 p.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Gary Cooper of Advance, Mo. officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo. with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
