Patsy Farmer, daughter of the late Frontz Green and Helen Shipman Green, was born on Nov. 10, 1935, in Dexter and died on Feb. 28, 2014, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston at the age of 78.
Mrs. Farmer was a homemaker and a resident of Dexter. She attended Hills General Baptist Church. She raised her children and grandchildren, loved to quilt and was a member of T.O.P.S.
On Aug. 2, 1952, she was united in marriage to Tech Sgt. Raymond Donald Farmer in Piggott, Ark. Mr. Farmer preceded her in death on July 18, 2000.
She is survived by four sons and their spouses, Donald Ray Farmer (Lynn) of Burkburnett, Texas, Charles Landon Farmer (Debbie) of Bloomfield, James Allen Farmer of Dexter and Michael Lee Farmer (Paula) of Dudley; by two daughters and their spouses, Diane Hudson (Russell) of Wichita Falls, Texas and Gail Grubbs (Randal) of Dexter; by one sister, JoAnn Sneed of Dexter; by 14 grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Green.
Visitation will take place at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.
Interment will follow in the Caroline Dowdy Cemetery.
