Leo Hoopingarner, son of the late Marion Leo Hoopingarner, Sr. and Verla Loman Hoopingarner, was born in Dudley on June 20, 1946, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Feb. 22, 2014, at the age of 67. Leo Hoopingarner, son of the late Marion Leo Hoopingarner, Sr. and Verla Loman Hoopingarner, was born in Dudley on June 20, 1946, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Feb. 22, 2014, at the age of 67.

He had lived in the Puxico area all of his life where he was a row crop and live stock farmer and also had a salvage yard. He was a member of the Mingo Tractor Club.

On Dec. 22, 2010, he was married to Linda Williard in Puxico.

Surviving are his wife Linda Hoopingarner of Puxico; three daughters and spouses, Kimberly and Paul Wilkerson of Jackson; Melinda and Brandon Faries of Puxico, and Marian and Tony Smith of Rector, Ark.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Millie Hancock and one brother, Billy Ray Hoopingarner.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, after 10 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Puxico with Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
