Doris Jean Robinson, daughter of the late Imogene Jenkins, was born on March 21, 1933 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on August 1, 2013 at the age of 80 years.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of the First Christian Church of Dexter, a lifelong resident of Dexter and a homemaker.
On February 7, 1950, she was united in marriage to Rudolph "Rudy" Robinson in Piggott, Arkansas. Mr. Robinson preceded her in death on March 31, 2000.
She is survived by two sons, John Robinson, and his wife, Nona, and Mark Robinson and his wife, Rhonda, all of Dexter; by one daughter, Sue Stoner and her husband, Loyd, of Sikeston; by one brother, Bobby Lynn Jenkins of Dexter; and by four grandchildren, Christopher Glenn, Natalie Herring, Luke Robinson and Jacob Robinson; and by seven great-grandchildren, Preston Glenn, Paige Glenn, Parker Brown, Lilly Kate Brown, Rigby Herring, Hudson Herring and Lucy Thornton.
In addition to her mother and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Sonny Jenkins.
Visitation will be held at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 12:30 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
