POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Two Arkansas residents were hospitalized following a Thursday afternoon wreck near Poplar Bluff involving a Puxico man.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 64-year-old Arthur L. Norris of Puxico was westbound on Rt. B at Rt. AA, three miles east of Poplar Bluff shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday when a second vehicle pulled into his path.
Linda L. Pinkston, 71, of Walnut Ridge, Ark. was the driver of an eastbound 2009 Toyota Sienna van that pulled into Norris' path, striking the Norris' 2011 GMC Sierra pickup truck.
Pinkston and her passenger, 47-year-old Randall Pinkston, also of Walnut Ridge, sustained moderate injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Norris was uninjured in the wreck.
The patrol states that all three involved in the accident were wearing their seat belts at the time fo the accident.
The two vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene of the accident.
