Jeanette Satterfield

Jeanette Satterfield, daughter of the late Bernard Harold Cravens and Syble Hill Cravens was born on Jan. 13, 1931, at Fisk and died at her residence in Dexter on July 31, 2013, at the age of 82.

She was united in marriage to Zural Satterfield on Oct. 4, 1949 at Piggott, Ark. Mr. Satterfield preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1981.

Mrs. Satterfield was the former co-owner with her husband of Satterfield Salvage, Satterfield Skating Rinks in Dexter and Sikeston, and the Go-Kart Track in Dexter.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Cindy Satterfield of Dexter; two daughters, Ann Smith and husband Jerry of Dexter and Corliss Persfull of Bentonville, Ark.; five grandchildren, Billy Fowler and wife Beth, Shelly Brooks and husband Wes, Drew Satterfield, Jessica Satterfield, and Jordan Persfull; one great-granddaughter, Gracyn Fowler; one brother, Chester Cravens and wife Marceline of Dexter; two sisters, Shirley Ann Jones of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Carolyn Sue Boone and husband John of Charleston, S. C.

Visitation will be at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at the Dexter Cemetery.
