Dexter Police conducted a sobriety check point at the intersection of Highway 25 and Business 60 that began at 10 p.m. Saturday night and concluded at 3 a.m. Sunday.
Police arrested seven individuals in separate traffic stops.
Doyle Eugene Drake, 21, of Dexter was arrested at 12:21 a.m. on a county warrant for stolen property. His bond was set at $1,500.
Gregg Andrew Stephens, 42, of Malden was arrested at 12:27 a.m. for driving while revoked. Bond was set at $250.
Julio Ernesto Rivera, 40, of Dexter was arrested at 12:31 a.m. for failure to drive on the right side of the road, failure to signal and DWI. His bond was set at $500.
Robbie Jonathan Noble, 31, of Dexter was charged at 12:42 a.m. with driving while his operator's license was revoked. His bond was set at $500.
At 12:46 a.m., James D. Long, 37, of Bernie was arrested for driving while suspended (second offense). His bond was also set at $500.
At 1:31 a.m. at the same location Stephen Curtis Butcher, Jr. 29, of Sikeston, was arrested for possession of marijuana (35 grams of less) and for possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond for Butcher was set at $750.
Dale Wayne Beyer, 54, of Bloomfield was arrested at 51:48 a.m. and charged with DWI (drugs). His bond was set at $500.
Additionally, police summons for two individuals driving without a license, 10 having no proof of insurance, one expired state registration, and one for driving while suspended (first offense).
A total of 420 vehicles were checked during this operation. Police Chief Sammy Stone said, "Making every attempt possible to remove intoxicated drivers from the roadways is a top priority of the Dexter Police Department. We feel that this is a vital part of our commitment to the citizens of Dexter, to ensure their safe travels on our roadways as wel continue to protect and serve the public. The members of the Dexter Police Department will continue to pursue this goal."
