* Under investigation by local police over the recent weekend are several incidents including a report of stealing from the 1300 block of E. Oak St., property damage at 1207 Arvin Rd., a report of an individual receiving stolen property on Olive St., and a runaway juvenile from Dexter.

* An accident at W. Oak and Stanley St. occurred at 3:03 p.m. Saturday when a driver struck a post while attempting to park. No names were provided in the report.

* An accident at 901 W. Business 60 occurred when the driver of a 2002 Chevrolet was backing and struck a 2007 Jeep Liberty. No names were provided in the report.

* Joleen M. McGowen, 37, of Seymour, Mo. was arrested for DI (prior offender) at 905 W. Business 60 at 9:09 p.m. Saturday.

* Mark A. Newell, 26, of Dexter was arrested for peace disturbance at 17 N. Hickory Dr. at 10:39 p.m. Saturday.

* Police arrested Joshua Holderfield, 26, of Dexter at 10:17 p.m. for shoplifting/stealing at the local WalMart Super Center.

Stoddard County

April 13-15, 2013

* Staci N. Talley, 34, of Advance, was arrested at 2:02 a.m. Sunday for DWI and failure to drive on the right side of the highway. She was taken to the Stoddard County Jail.

* Gregory Scott Martin, 46, of Bernie was arrested on a warrant for leaving the scene of an accident. Bond was set at $20,000 cash, and he remains in jail.

* Jerry D. Presley, 46, of Parma was arrested on a warrant for resisting arrest and assault on a law enforcement officer. Bond was set at $7,500, and he remains in jail.

* Kyle M. Walker, 41, of Dexter was arrested on a warrant for non-support. Bond was set at $5,000, and he remains in jail.

Highway Patrol

April 13-15, 2013

* Robert Deason, 29, of Nettleton, Miss., was arrested in Stoddard County Monday at 10:38 a.m.. He is charged on a Mississippi Dept. of Corrections warrant for possession of meth, misdemeanor marijuana possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held at the county jail without bond.
