Dr. Charles "Skip" Wallace, son of the late Charles Blake Wallace and Judith Prentice Wallace, was born on May 2, 1944, in Nashville, Tenn., and died on Feb. 6, 2013, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff at the age of 68. Dr. Wallace was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter and a resident of Dexter. Dr. Charles "Skip" Wallace, son of the late Charles Blake Wallace and Judith Prentice Wallace, was born on May 2, 1944, in Nashville, Tenn., and died on Feb. 6, 2013, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff at the age of 68.

Dr. Wallace was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter and a resident of Dexter. He was the owner of Skip Wallace Chiropractic in Dexter.

On Sept. 15, 1973, he was united in marriage to Sylvia Hancock in Walnut Ridge, Ark. Mrs. Wallace survives at their residence in Dexter.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Shawn Wallace of Imperial, Mo., and Scott Wallace of San Diego, Calif.; and by two daughters, Taylor Wallace of Dexter and Alexandra Wallace of Dexter.

Visitation will take place at the First General Baptist Church in Dexter on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, from noon until 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will then be conducted on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the First General Baptist Church in Dexter at 2 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating.

A private burial will be conducted at a later date in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
